Google Play Movies rolls out in 10 new Middle Eastern countries and Vietnam

It’s always a happy day when one of Google Play’s entities rolls out to new countries because it means more users will be able to benefit from the entertainment options that were available to others before them. But today we’re celebrating because Google Play Movies has officially landed in Lebanon and 10 other countries. All of them are Middle Eastern, except for Vietnam — Chào!

According to Kamilaroi man Dean Foley, many of the programs offering business skills to Indigenous Australians only “tick boxes.” They’re just not the right thing for would-be founders of global tech companies.

Foley’s new accelerator program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs launched its first mini-program Monday in Brisbane, with six startups on board.

BlackBerry's DTEK app is giving users incorrect device status following Android update

It appears that for some, BlackBerry’s DTEK security app is going haywire. Following software updates to the BlackBerry Priv, BlackBerry DTEK50 and BlackBerry DTEK60, the app alerted owners of these devices that there was an issue with their phones’ operating system even though no problem existed.

While this software bug appears to have affected only a small number of BlackBerry users, the problem has been added to the BlackBerry Knowledge Base and the company says that it is working on correcting it. Whatever is causing the problem, it forces the DTEK app to show that the security status … – Source

If you love watching pimples pop, you'll love this cheesy burger

RawMaterial, a restaurant in New York City, just debuted a new burger we’re sure Dr. Pimple Popper would adore.

The Burger Bomb, an off-menu item, is pretty much just like a regular hamburger, but with one extremely important difference: the top bun is filled with cheese sauce.

When the lucky diner cuts into the bun, that cheese sauce bursts from the bread. Then it oozes everywhere, like dairy lava from a bread volcano.

In its announcement post, Xiaomi stated that this week it is looking for people who own the Mi 5 in China, with the deadline of November 21. The good news is that next week, the company plans to begin MIUI 8 Nougat testing sign ups for global ROM owners of the Mi 5.

You will need to go on a PC to apply for testing at the MIUI website. Besides the requirement of owning an Mi 5 phone, interested testers must have at least some knowledge about ROMs and be active in the forums. They also must be willing to chat with other members about their experience in the QQ alpha group and forums. Finally, they must use the QQ app

It goes without saying, but we will say it again anyway: If you do get picked to test MIUI 8 Nougat on your Xiaomi Mi 5, the ROM that you will download and install is labeled as an alpha build, so expect a bunch of annoying bugs to pop up. More updates from Xiaomi about future MIUI 8 Nougat releases for its other smartphones will be revealed in the future.
