However the big breaking news is the fact that the title song of the film will be sung by none other than legendary playback singer and Asha's elder sister Lata Mangeshkar. Speaking about this, Asha says, "Lata didi has agreed to sing the title track of my film Maaee and I am very happy." The title track is yet to be recorded and will be scheduled as per Lataji's availability.
The song has been composed by Nitin Shankar. Principle shooting of Maaee is almost complete. The film tells the poignant tale of what happens when a woman is abandoned by her only son and then goes to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Maaee is directed by Mahesh Kodiyal and produced by Subhash Dawar and Nitin Shankar.


Salman writes and records the opening lines for promo of Chillar Party

Rajinikanth to be taken to Singapore for further treatment


RajinikanthSuperstar Rajinikanth, who is currently being treated at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) in Chennai, will be flying tonight to Singapore for further treatment. His wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya are expected to accompany him. Rajinikanth first suffered from exhaustion on 29th April, the first day of the shoot of his new film Rana (which also stars Deepika Padukone) and was admitted to the Isabel Hospital and discharged on the same day. After five days he was re-admitted there for allergic bronchitis and viral fever. The 61 year old was then admitted to SRMC on 13th May for respiratory infection and other problems. He will be getting his treatment done at the National University Hospital in Singapore. We wish him a speedy recovery.


Emraan and Jacqueline to star in Raaz 3


Murder 2Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatts' third part of the Raaz series is set to take off by the end of this year. Raaz 3 will be made in 3D and it will be directed by Vikram Bhatt who also directed the original Raaz. Raaz was a blockbuster hit and made its actors Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu overnight stars. Its sequel Raaz-The Mystery Continues starred Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut and was directed by Mohit Suri. Now Raaz 3 will feature Emraan Hashmi again and the current 'Bhatt' favourite Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. Emraan and Jacqueline will be first seen in Murder 2 which releases on 8th July, 2011.


Bipasha Basu detained at customs for undeclared goods

After Minissha Lamba, its now the turn of the ultra gorgeous Bipasha Basu to be detained by the customs officials yesterday. The reason? Well, the officials say that she did not declare imported valuables. Reports have it that Bips arrived in Mumbai from London, when the Assistant Commissioner (Customs) Sameer Wankhede stopped her at the Green Channel and requested to examine her bags. Post which, they found out that, she had not declared footwear, designer sunglasses and imported handbags. Bipasha, on her part, was let off by the officials after she paid the duty (Rs.12, 000 in taxes), but wasn't fined. The actress thought that only jewellery and electronic items were to be declared. The officer incharge also added that, it was a genuine case of not knowing the laws and not trying to cheat. When contacted, Bipasha said, "It was just a routine check up at the airport and many others were being checked as well. I paid Rs. 12000 as taxes against some personal goods. I think the customs team is doing an excellent job."
