Shah Rukh and Anubhav aren't yet decided on 3D version for Ra. One

Ra. OneHold on to your horses before you start jumping with joy around the prospects of watching Ra.One in 3D. Though Shah Rukh Khan has hinted that there would be some portions of the film in 3D, the fact is that a final decision on this is yet to be taken. The makers are currently testing the waters and trying to figure out whether it would indeed be feasible to bring the superhero multi crore action flick in 3D, especially since it was originally shot in 2D. Informs a well placed source from the film's technical team, "A few important scenes from Ra.One have been handed over to a couple of major studios who are currently working on applying 3D to these. This is currently in testing phase as all the 2D shots would be converted into 3D, unlike the recent hit Haunted which was originally shot in 3D." Both Shah Rukh Khan as well as the film's director Anubhav Sinha are pretty excited though about the prospects of seeing their vision translate into 3D. Though this would further increase the film's budget, they are not deterred. However before taking the final call they want to be dead sure that the effects are as per their expectations. "More than half a decade has gone into bringing Ra.One from the ideation to the shape of a final product. Of course when the film was being designed, 3D wasn't much in vogue but now there are studios, theatre owners as well as audience applying pressure on the team of Ra.One to bring the film in 3D", continues the source, "Shah Rukh as well as Anubhav aren't getting carried away though and would agree to the experiment only if the test results are on par or above their expectations. Otherwise they are pretty content with what they have managed to achieve with the original 2D version." On contacted, Anubhav confirms the news about some of the shots from the film being shared with the VFX studios for them to do their tests. He asserts though that this is one of the many things that are currently occupying everyone involved with Ra.One. He says, "Decision on 3D is yet to be taken but we are having close look at our timelines. If things happen early enough then fine otherwise we are not budging from our Diwali release timeline. Whether it is Shah Rukh, the film's editor, composers, VFX guys or I, none of us are sleeping more than five hours a day. There is no mind space to make any decision yet."

Sonakshi Sinha gears up for Kick, Rowdy Rathore and Vishwaroopam

Sonakshi SinhaAfter Dabangg, Sonakshi's next film with Salman, Kick, will have more footage for her than she had in Dabangg.
Says the confident newcomer, "Kick is a remake of South Indian film. The girl has lots more to do. It's a very good role. I'm very kicked about Kick. Yeah, there's definitely much more scope for me in Kick than Dabangg. And I am going to make the best of it." While Sonakshi is part of Dabangg 2, she'd also be a part of the film that the Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap makes, although the Dabangg producer Arbaaz Khan and Abhinav parted bitterly recently. But Sonakshi's brother Kush is now assisting Abhinav. Reveals Sonakshi, "Kush wants to direct films. He's assisting Abhinav in directing ads. I don't think Abhinav is directing another feature film right away. As and when Abhinav makes a film I'd love to be part of it, provided he wants me to." On the Bhojpuri KBC, Sonakshi spoke in Hindi while her dad hosted the show in Bhojpuri. "I had never seen him talk in Bhojpuri .He did it very well. I'm looking forward to doing a film with my dad." She now starts 3 back-to-back films. "There's Kick with Salman Khan, Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar and Vishwaroopam with Kamal Haasan. Then there's Dabangg 2 coming up. Since there's nothing else I'd rather do I am so glad I'm working throughout the year. Getting success is easier than sustaining it." For Vishwaroopam, Sonakshi gets to sport both the Indian and Western look. "I love to see myself in sarees. I hope I get to wear lots. We start shooting in June." Prospective producers will have to wait for a year. Sonakshi has no time. "I can't do any more projects for a year." Including the one with Ranvir Singh she is so keen on? "He's quite a bundle of talent, isn't he? Yeah there're talks of a project with him. It'd be a good combination." Sonakshi says she doesn't feel older but yes wiser. "I've realized many things about myself. I realized when pushed to the wall I can fight back. I can handle all the pressure. Yes there were lots of attempts to corner me. But thankfully I could take the beating on my chin. More importantly, I always thought I was a very lazy person. But I realized I could work hard. Yes I do my work and I do it well. As long as I enjoy my work how does it matter what people say or try to do? I guess being talked about is better than being ignored."

Akshay Kumar records safety announcements for Western Railways

Akshay KumarNext time you choose to travel by Mumbai's local trains, don't be surprised if you hear a familiar sturdy male voice instead of the female voice you usually hear greeting you and urging you to travel safely. Akshay will welcome passengers in local trains with announcements instructing them, to use the over-head bridge instead of crossing railway lines, refraining them from rooftop traveling, etc like "Rail ki patri cross karke khatron se na khelein, pul ka istemaal karein (don't play with danger by crossing the railway tracks, please use the bridge)".The announcements will be made in Hindi. This is a part of the promotional campaign for his show Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi 4- Torchar, on Colors. The show goes on air tonight.

Ra.One's official website hacked

Ra.OneThe world of cyberspace is fickle and the latest Bollywood celebrity to get a taste of this is none other than Shah Rukh Khan. The actor whose film Ra.One is coming up for release had its official web page www.raonemovie.com hacked into on Thursday. The breach was not just limited to the official site, in fact any other page be it a fan based page or any that related to Ra.One was similarly hacked. Apparently, the said breach was the handy work of certain Pakistani cyber criminals who stated that they were seeking revenge for a similar cyber attack on the Karachi Press Club website. The other site that was hacked www.raonemovie.com was defaced with a note saying, "SeeKer was here!!! A news has reched to me that s0me of indian Lamers hack Pak press club. Listen u script Kiddies . Stop hacking Paki sites or u will darely pay..." The said breach in the internet security was apparently due to the poor programming and servers that run unpatched versions of the operating system, despite this until late evening there was no police complaint filed regarding the attack.

Akshay will dub for Hindi version of Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

Akshay KumarGlobal superhero films are waking up to India. In an endeavour to gain great visibility in the sub continent too and not just the West, the makers of Transformers franchise have approached none other than Akshay Kumar to dub for the one of the most integral characters of the film, 'Optimus Prime'. Original 'khiladi' of Bollywood has consented as well and would soon be dubbing for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. "Akshay was pleasantly shocked when he received a call from the makers who requested him to dub for the film", informs a source close to him, "Michael Bay, the man behind Transformers franchise was personally interested in getting him on board. He wanted someone with a powerful and commanding voice to dub for the Hindi version and felt that Akshay was most suited for the job." Though Akshay has worked in close to 100 Hindi films and doesn't have any qualms when it comes to dubbing, he knows that dubbing for a character as powerful as Optimus Prime would come with its own challenge. More so because he would not be dubbing for a human being but a machine which is a valiant and heroic leader of the Autobots. "He is up for it", the source adds, "In fact more than him, it is his son Aarav who is mighty excited about his dad doing the film. He was waiting for the film to arrive this July and watch the film on the big screen. Now he has decided to skip the English version and instead opt for the dubbed Hindi version where he would be able to listen to his dad. Every child looks at his dad as a superhero. Akshay is doing the film for his son." Though there have been countless Hollywood flicks that have been dubbed in Hindi with professional dubbing artists lending their services, this would be a first when an A-lister from Bollywood would be doing the honours for a Live superhero film. A huge fan of the Transformers series, Akshay is said to have been excited as a child when told that he would now be a part of the franchise. "He feels that by dubbing for Optimus Prime in the film, he would now be a part of history being made", continues the source, "Akshay hasn't missed a single film in the franchise so far; whether it is Transformers (2007) or Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Now even though he is doing double shifts for Joker and Desi Boyz, promoting Khatron Ke Khiladi and would be travelling to London for the shoot of Housefull 2, he has promised Michael Bay that he would take out time and finish the dubbing of Transformers: Dark of the Moon." Trivia: In the English version, each of the three Transformers films has seen Hollywood dubbing legend Peter Cullen dub for Optimus Prime as the character requires 'a deep, raspy voice'. One now looks forward to hear whether Akshay does something similar or brings in his own style.

Aamir's 'item girl' for Delhi Belly to be revealed today?

The team of Delhi Belly may have more than one reason to celebrate this evening. While the entire cast and prominent members of the crew along with select invitees would be getting together to cheer the success of their song 'Bhaag DK Bose', there would be added incentive for those present at the invite. There are strong indications that the event would also see an announcement around the name of the actress who would be gyrating to a specially created item number for the Imran Khan starrer. "Three prominent names that have been making rounds so far are that of Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora and Deepika Padukone. On the other hand, cine goers have also thrown around names like Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Sharma amongst others. Whether the chosen one would be one of them or someone else would be known to one and all this evening", informs a well placed source connected to the film. The event would be held at Vie Lounge, Juhu, and is expected to be a glittering event. However, Aamir Khan would be missing the event as he is shooting in Pondicherry for Reema Kagti's yet untitled film. To compensate for this, Kiran Rao would be taking over the reins and would be playing the host. "Kiran along with people from UTV would be making the announcement", confirms the source, "She has cut short her Europe holidays just in order to be there for Imran and his film. Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapur would be there at the event as well along with director Abhinay Deo and it is pretty much expected that they would be having fun all over again with 'Bhaag DK Bose' blazing away on a continuous note." It is unsure though whether the actress who would be doing the item number would be present at the event or not. Though our source says that possibility of this is quite low, one fears whether her absence may just about take the zing away from the event, especially so when the announcement has been much awaited. Nevertheless, here is looking forward to revelation.
