Activists walk a fine, painful line in wake of Dallas shooting
In the wake of the Dallas shooting on Thursday, activists found themselves having to walk a fine line between mourning the deaths of five police officers and maintaining the recent momentum of the movement to address police violence.
“This is a tragedy – both for those who have been impacted by yesterday’s attack and for our democracy,” Black Lives Matter said in a statement. “There are some who would use these events to stifle a movement for change and quicken the demise of a vibrant discourse on the human rights of Black Americans. We should reject all of this.”

Chinese smartphone manufacturer vivo has revealed that more than 250,000 units of its X7 smartphone were grabbed on the first day of its sale. The figure includes both online and offline sales.
The phone, which raked up a million registrations in a span of five days, carries a price tag of CNY 2,498 ($375). To refresh, the handset is powered by Snapdragon 652 chipset and sports a 5.2-inch fullHD display. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and features a 13MP/16MP camera combo.

A couple of days ago, a mockup render of an alleged new Nexus device have made their way to the internet which could give us a rough idea of what the device could look like. The mockup of these Nexus devices codenamed ‘Sailfish’ and ‘Marlin’ take cues from the current Huawei-made Nexus 6P and HTC’s current flagship: the HTC 10.
