Users report iPhones 6 and 6s turning off by themselves, cause not yet identified

Fans and users of the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s devices have reported that after updating to the new iOS 9.0.2, their handsets have started acting cranky on random occasions. Apparently, the phones will decide to turn themselves off — no matter if the user is currently operating the device, or it’s just on standby — and the only way to fix them is to perform a hard-restart (hold down the home and power buttons for as many seconds as it takes for the Apple logo to reappear on the screen).

Apple reps have allegedly said that the issue is known, but is still hard to pinpoint and reproduce, … – Source

This sing-a-long shows not everyone on the London Underground is miserable

Londoners have a pretty unshakable reputation for being grumpy, unfriendly or just generally miserable when it comes to public transport, and that goes double for the London Underground (which, to be fair, is a nightmarish sweat-pit on the best of days) — but occasionally that reputation is undeserved.

On Tuesday night on the Northern Line, …

Verizon finally jumps on the Samsung Pay bandwagon

Most of the major carriers in the US, including Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T, had announced back in August that they will support Samsung Pay at launch. Notably missing from that list was Verizon, which at that time said that it is currently evaluating the mobile payments service.

Samsung Pay will be supported on compatible Verizon smartphones (Galaxy S 6, S 6 edge, Note5, S6 edge +) through a future software update.— Verizon News (@VerizonNews) October 6, 2015

Now, over a week after Samsung Pay was launched in the country, the big red carrier has announced that it will support the service. However, there was no word on exactly when the support would roll out, although the company did say that it will be made available through a “future software update.”

As for the compatible smartphones, Verizon said Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Note5, and S6 edge+ on its network will get the aforementioned update whenever it is rolled…

Existing Lumia phones will start getting Windows 10 in December

While we already know that the newly-announced, Windows 10 Mobile-powered Lumia 950 flagship duo will be available next month, it has now been revealed that existing Lumia owners will start receiving the Windows 10 Mobile update in December.

The information was revealed by Microsoft in a comment (see image above) on its official Lumia Facebook page while responding to a query related to Windows 10 Mobile update for the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL.

“It is our ambition to make an upgrade available for majority of Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1,” the software giant said in a separate comment, adding that 8GB of internal storage will be required for the update, meaning devices like the Lumia 530 will be out of…

Although the car might look like a racier version of the German brand’s M4 coupe, little could be further from the truth. Because the car boasts two production car world-firsts: a water-injected engine in the front and organic light emitting diode (OLED) tail lights in the rear.

Let’s start up front. BMW engineers have taken their potent 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder and, for the first time in a production car, fitted it with water injection. Though the technology has been utilized and proven on the racetrack for many years, this is the first production car to include it. It has many technical benefits. Essentially, injecting water in the cylinder along with a tiny mist of gasoline allows the engine to run at higher rpm than without the water. And, as we learned during …
