Oppo R9S promo poster confirms 4GB RAM, 16MP rear shooter and more


Back last week, we told you that the Oppo R9S had gained 3C certification, with an October announcement seemingly confirmed along with it. Now, there’s even more evidence to suggest that the device is no too far off becoming official, with a couple of promotional posters having been caught in the wild.

Facebook Messenger's end-to-end encryption is now live for all users


The extra opt-in security feature has successfully passed trials and is now live for all 1 billion users of the service.


A few months ago Facebook started testing its very own end-to-end encryption in Messenger and starting today the feature is available to all users. Just like WhatsApp, another IM company that already offers the feature, Messenger uses the Signal Protocol developed by Open Whisper Systems. To get an end-to-end encrypted chat with someone, you’ll need to start what is called a Secret Conversation with that person. The option can be accessed by pressing the person’s name…

At today’s Pixel event, Google announced an impressive statistic — it has sold over 30 million Chromecast devices to date.


That’s not bad for a little dongle that, at the time of its launch, was a rather unique device. The original Chromecast wasn’t the only media stick you could plug into a TV, but an impulse-buy $35 price point and remote control-free design made it special.


This was 2013, a time when each new version of Android was called Jelly Bean.
