Turn a hoodie into a unicorn costume for a magically low-key Halloween

Halloween can be both magical and chill.

Every year it’s the same old song and dance. You spend days, weeks or even months fretting and fussing about the perfect costume, only to spend Halloween at a party feeling uncomfortable, sweaty and possibly feeling even a little over (or under) dressed.

17 Halloween costumes that will keep you warm and cozy

Halloween has its respective perks and non-perks — one of them of course being “how cold can I realistically get before my lips fall off and bobbing for apples is out?” Mid-fall weather is not the most pleasant walk in the park when you’re walking through that park with only a leotard (or maybe even less) on.

Fear not, heat-seekers. The plight of having to shove “Hot Hands” down your pants shan’t be no longer. Halloween can also be looking-hot-and-feeling-pretty-comfortable, if you’re willing to get creative, rummage through your winter wardrobe and get a little DIY-y.

In no particular order — your list of costumes that will make you shake your head at downing that fifth mug of hot cocoa …

Mobile email app developer Boxer to be acquired by VMware

If you have a OnePlus One or other device running the latest version of Cyanogen OS 12, then chances are you know the “native” email client that came with the KitKat based ROM is made by none other than Boxer. In addition to the email client, Boxer is also the outfit behind the calendar app found on the most recent skin from Cyanogen.

VMware is acquiring Boxer for an undisclosed amount of cash. There are a couple reasons why this is interesting. First, WMware is a subsidiary of EMC. Second, EMC is about to be acquired by Dell for the cool sum of $67 billion.

AT&T Mexico lights up LTE in 6 cities

AT&T closed its acquisitions of two Mexican carriers earlier this year with the goal of becoming a North American mobile service provider.

Thanks to incentives and reforms put in place by the Mexican government, AT&T acquired the smallest operator Iusacell, and bankrupt Nextel partners so that it would eventually be able provide contiguous coverage to all AT&T customers … – Source

Combat dog with two tours in Iraq fatally shot in Wyoming

A dog who earned a Bronze Star during two tours in Iraq as a bomb-sniffer was shot and killed earlier this month in Wyoming, leaving his owner without the dog who was helping him cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
