Dad finds out the hard way that he's too big for the kid slide

There was no way that this was going to end well.

Unfortunately, for this father, the deck that was supporting this very stable homemade kids water slide was simply not strong enough to support his adult weight.

Although, if he did make it down the slide, he probably would have overshot that kiddie pool so it’s probably best he got stuck.

[Huh?] YouTube Is Getting In-App Messaging For Some Reason

When I sit down for a YouTube session, I often think: how cool would it be if I was able to message my friends through YouTube? I don’t even have to leave the app/website to do it, and it’d be so much easier if I could message here than on Facebook, Hangouts, or SMS. Awesome!

For some utterly bizarre reason, YouTube is getting in-app messaging. The tab has been appearing on a small number of Android devices over the last 48 hours or so, and Wired published a post explaining the new feature.

People confess their secrets to loved ones in heartwarming video

LONDON — “Some things are hard to say, so we asked people to write them down.”

That’s the premise for Open Up, a short film which involves real people writing down their secrets and then talking them through with loved ones.

“We posted public messages online asking if anyone had something they wanted to admit to a loved one but had never been brave enough to say it,” Henry Hitchcox, the founder of the company behind the film Action Productions, told Mashable.

“The director (Samuel Abrahams) and I then had some very intense casting sessions where we discussed individuals personal admissions in private. We ended up choosing stories that we felt were relatable and could help inspire others to be more open and honest.” …

Moto G4 is coming to India on May 17, exclusively on Amazon

Motorola confirmed that its next smartphone would be available in India from May 17, exclusively on Amazon.

Motorola did not reveal the name of this new device, but there’s hardly any mystery here: we’ll see the Moto G4 and its souped-up version Moto G Plus, which both have leaked extensively over the past weeks.

The Moto G4 and G Plus will sell through Amazon, ending Motorola’s exclusive deal with Flipkart.

Motorola and Amazon announced their collaboration through some friendly banter over Twitter.

The official statement is a bit drier (and suffers from a lack of Anchorman GIFs):

“Amazon.in is the one of the best online marketplaces in India and we are glad to announce that we have exclusively partnered with Amazon India for our next Motorola smartphone,” said Motorola India country head Amit Boni.

From the sound of it, the Moto G4 will be made available on Amazon India right after the May 17 launch.

What should you expect from the Moto G4? Quite a lot of changes, actually: there’s a new design, a fingerprint sensor up-front, a big 5.5-inch screen that finally goes Full HD, and a metallic frame rounding everything together.

The biggest uncertainty at this point is the price – is Motorola going to stick to the roots of the franchise and deliver another affordable juggernaut? Will the Lenovo-era Moto G break with the past and join a new price range? We’ll find out in just five days!

Galaxy Note 6 tipped for August launch in US

The successor to Samsung’s Galaxy Note5 smartphone has been the subject of several leaks and rumors for the past few months now. However, what we didn’t hear so far is the possible launch time-frame for the device.

Well, that changes now, as the usually reliable leakster @evleaks has revealed an August launch for the Galaxy Note 6 in the United States. In fact, he pin points the week of August 15.

A look at the machine that turns dough pods into tortillas

It’s actually very tasty. Really. I certainly had my doubts, eating a tortilla that came out of a pod, but 90 or so seconds after Flatev co-founder and CEO put the little Keurig-esque plastic saucer in the machine, a pipping hot and legitimately delicious corn tortilla popped down into the warming shelf. I can’t say there’s really a place in my life (or my tiny New York… Read More
