Apple makes macOS Sierra available for download as a free update

Apple announced macOS Sierra back in June at its developer conference, and after a beta testing period that went on for the past few months, the new software is finally ready for the general public.

While this isn’t a big update by any stretch of the imagination, it still comes with many new features. For example,…

Google Photos updated with faster sharing and movie concepts

Google has added new updates to the Photos app, making it more convenient to use some of its most popular features. For example, sharing has been significantly streamlined and improved. Users simply pick photos, tap “share” and select their contacts – if they have Google Photos, they will receive a notification. And if they don’t, they’ll get links via SMS or e-mail. This way, you don’t have to toggle between different apps as much, or deal with failed texts and email attachments.

SanDisk unveils world's first 1TB SD card, just a prototype for now

If you didn’t know, the capacity of flash cards doubles about every two years. You can call that Peter’s law (in my name :).

In early 2011, Lexar unveiled the first 128GB SD card, then in late 2012 the first 256GB card. SanDisk took the lead in late 2014 with the first 512GB card and now it’s doubling the max capacity again.

For now, it’s just a prototype – there’s no launch or price yet. But the SanDisk Extreme PRO will store a whopping 1TB of data. This comes merely 16 years after their first 64MB (MEGA-byte) SD card.

This card is aimed at the growing number of 4K cameras, 360°…

Don’t Think About What You Want, Think About What It Would Take to Get It

One of the easiest personal finance tips out there is to simply stop wanting more stuff. It’s simple, but it’s true–if you had an easy way to basically eliminate your desire to acquire anything new aside from things to cover your barest needs, personal finance would become incredibly easy. Sadly, humans don’t work that way.

The search for the suspect associated with explosive devices found in New York and New Jersey led law enforcement to a fried chicken shop.
