Surfing legend ditches surfboard for Alaskan wilderness in stunning video

Three-time world surfing champion and occasional shark puncher, Australian legend Mick Fanning has swapped his board for a beanie for his latest project as an ambassador for conservation agency Wild Ark.

Fanning was thrown into the spotlight in 2015 when while competing at the J-Bay Open in South Africa, he was attacked by a shark. Fanning wildly thrashed about in the water and punched the shark in the back before officials rushed to help.

But he holds no grudge. In fact, as a Wild Ark ambassador, Mick Fanning is hoping to help save some wildlife, and precious habitats.

Wild Ark want to look after rich ecosystems and identified “green belts” to ensure the wildlife that live there are afforded the best chance to thrive, while simultaneously enabling a culture for research and low-impact opportunities for humans to “reconnect with nature.” …

ZTE Axon 7 Max could be unveiled during event to be held on October 27th

Last week, we showed you some leaked images of the unannounced ZTE Axon 7 Max. We might see the phablet become official on October 27th. That is the date of an event being held by ZTE for which the manufacturer sent out invitations. No, it is not a Black Tie affair and no gifts are required. All that ZTE wants is for attendees to bring a discerning eye for smartphones.

The ZTE Axon 7 Max will carry a 6-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 (FHD) resolution. Powering the handset is the Snapdragon 625 SoC containing an octa-core 2GHz CPU, and the Adreno 506 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB … – Source

Clinton and Trump share awkward charity dinner night after fiery debate

It’s safe to say Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump didn’t finish Wednesday night’s debate on the best terms.

There were no handshakes, no hugs, and in fact Trump was pictured throwing a mini tantrum as the event came to an end. Earlier he’d called Clinton a nasty woman.

Suffice it to say, things looked a bit awkward. Yet, a day later, the pair were lined up for the Alfred E. Smith charity dinner in New York’s Waldorf Astoria, separated only by one very unlucky Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

The dinner looked a little bit uncomfortable.

Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus now shipping in December, but you could find one in retail stores

If you plan to order a Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus from Apple’s website today, you should know that the handset will be shipped in “6 to 8 weeks.” This means you won’t be getting the device earlier than the 1st of December, barely in time for the holiday season. We’re not exactly surprised by this, as Apple has had problems with Jet Black iPhone 7 stocks since day one.

But what can you do if you really want a Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus right now? Well, you could try to find one in Apple’s brick-and-mortar stores. According to iStockNow, a website that monitors product availability in Apple stores, … – Source

ZTE is announcing a big phone on October 27, probably the Axon 7 Max

ZTE has just taken the wraps off the nubia Z11 mini S a few days ago, but the Chinese company apparently isn’t done with new phone launches for this month. It’s already scheduled a new event in China on October 27.

While it hasn’t said exactly what the event is for, the teaser (which you can see in the image to the left) says something along the lines of “Witness the big phone event”. That makes us think this will be when ZTE outs a new phablet.

And that in turn makes us think the recently leaked Axon 7 Max is the device that will become official on October 27. The Axon 7 Max is…

Switch may be Nintendo's official dip into esports

When Nintendo revealed its next console, Nintendo Switch, one thing in the trailer stood out that didn’t really have anything to do with the hardware: esports.

Nintendo is not known for supporting or encouraging competitive gaming. Despite that, there are thriving competitive scenes around some of its most popular titles, Super Smash Bros. in particular (except Brawl; We don’t talk about Brawl).

In the past couple months, Nintendo seems to have shifted (or Switched) its stance on esports. The last minute of its new trailer confirmed this. …
