LG G4 begins shipping, but U.S. still has to wait

The LG G4 this week will begin shipping to in initial markets — but a good bit of the world still has a while to go before getting its hands on the phone.

The LG G4 is coming to 180 carriers around the world on six continents. And this week it begins shipping in Hong Kong, LG announced by way of press release. After that come Turkey, Russia and Singapore.

U.S. carriers have announced their intention to carry the G4, but we’ve yet to receive any word on date or pricing.

The G4 — as you’ll recall from our comprehensive review — sports a 5.5-inch Quantum IPS display, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor (and, yes, includes Qualcomm’s new Quick Charge 2.0 feature). The camera has proven itself to be one of the best among current phones.
