Ed Sheeran has hit a new Spotify milestone


His hit “Thinking Out Loud” is the first song to ever reach 500 million streams on the popular music service

“Chuffed to hear that ‘Thinking Out Loud’ has had half a billion plays on Spotify,” Sheeran said in a release. “Being the first artist to hit that milestone is amazingThanks to all the people who use this as a wedding song, soundtrack to a date and as a way to woo someone into a Netflix-and-chill situation.”


Along with that achievement, data from Spotify shows just how insanely popular Sheeran is on the streaming service. About one in four Spotify users has one of his songs in at least one playlist, and overall, his songs have been streamed about 2.8 billion times. Tesla has released an update for the Model S that brings an important new feature: autopilot. Autopilot on the Model S will enable features such as auto steering, lane changing activated by the turn signal, and auto parking.


The version 7 update also has some other features, such as a new UI and the Model S without autopilot hardware will be getting improved climate control, improved efficiency and performance for RWD Model S, and improved hill start assist that works on all surfaces.

First 'made in India' Gionee smartphone to be launched today

Well, that was quick. Just days after it was announced that Gionee will launch its first ‘made in India’ smartphone in the country before the festival of Diwali, it is being reported that the device will be launched today.


The handset – manufactured at the Foxconn facility in Sri City – will be launched in the presence of the Chinese company’s President William Lu, India chief Arvind Vohra, and N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The event will be held in the city of Visakhapatnam.

Apple News for iOS 9 is not available to users in China

Apple News, one of the hot new features found in iOS 9 is not available to users in China. The Cupertino tech giant has reportedly pulled the plug on the service in the country, which is its second largest market behind only the United States.


The manufacturer has reportedly opted to block access to Apple News altogether, as opposed to trying to censor its content. The Chinese requirement has a set of censorship rules that foreign companies need to follow in order to do business in the country.


The News app’s deactivation in China affects even iOS users who visit the country from abroad. Apple has declined to officially comment on the subject.
