AMC renews 'The Walking Dead' for Season 8


As Negan once said: “Eeny meeny miny more.”


AMC President Charlie Collier echoed that exact wording but with a much sunnier sentiment today when the network renewed The Walking Dead for an eighth season.

“What a joy to partner with Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple and some of the hardest-working people in television to bring The Walking Dead to the fans. And, most important, thanks to those fans for breathing life into this remarkable series right along with us,” Collier said in a release, per Hollywood Reporter.


The Walking Dead season 7 premieres Oct. 23 on AMC, with the second half of the season due in February 2017. Season 8 will likely premiere later in the same year, with another 16 episodes of gore and Grimes. Also renewed: Chris Hardwick’s The Talking Dead. …

Google has just pushed a new update for the Google Maps for Android app that allows users to quickly view real-time traffic information.


Version 9.39 of Google Maps for Android introduces a useful shortcut for viewing traffic information. Previously, users had to enter a destination or engage the ‘Driving Mode’ to view traffic information for their location. With the new update, the app now shows a ‘Traffic Nearby’ shortcut, which quickly directs users to the relevant screen.

AT&T to offer cracked screen repair option if you have phone insurance


Major carrier AT&T has just announced that beginning November 15, it will provide customers with a new repair option, which will allow them to repair their cracked screens instead of replacing their devices.


However, that won’t come for free, AT&T announced. In order to take advantage of this offer customers will have to pay $89 (deductible applies).
