Sona Mohapatra criticizes Alia Bhatt on twitter

Popular singer Sona Mohapatra is known for calling a spade a spade without sugar coating things. Though she has sung for many Bollywood films, she shot to fame after her stellar performance in the show 'Satyamev Jayate'.

No sooner Alia Bhatt's latest funny video called 'Genuis Of The Year' went viral; it caught everyone's attention on the internet. While most people appreciated Alia's sporty spirit of laughing at herself Sona Mohapatra thought otherwise. She was critical about Alia which is indicated by her tweets that were indirectly hinted at the team of AIB, director Shakun Batra and Alia Bhatt and especially her PR team, who were the 'brains' behind the video, according to her.

Sona Mohapatra tweeted, "These young icons are looked upto by million tots, plied with endorsements & then 'celebrate' 'dumbing down'? It angers me no end that this is the mediocrity that we are so enthusiastic to reward. Let's all just giggle on?". She also added, "Also sick of our mag covers putting the spotlight on these unidimensional propped up celebrities, true achievements be damned. It's a big clap for the people in the background who make the ones in the front look great! Writers, thinkers, strategists, PR:)"

Though Sona made sure she didn't name Alia Bhatt in any of the tweets, it was pretty evident whom she was referring to with her comments.
