No Entry Mein Entry will have completely fresh characters

Boney KapoorBoney Kapoor can breathe a sigh of relief. Now that the responsibility of launching his beautiful wife Sridevi has been passed on to Balki, Boney is itching to go ahead with the all-boys tale. Secretly, the script for the sequel to No Entry has been readied by Anees Bazmee. All the while even as he has been completing the direction of two back-to-back films, Anees Bazmee has been writing the No Entry sequel. Having come to a dead end the first time this time, he doesn't want to reveal details about the sequel. But we can safely say No Entry Mein Entry will have lots of incidents and situations related to Salman and Akshay Kumar, the two superstars that Anees has been working with. The characters in No Entry Mein Entry have grown out of Anees' close contact with the leading men in his two under-production films Thank You and Ready. Apparently, a lot of characters traits, body language and speech peculiarities of the protagonists in the No Entry sequel will be based on Anees' observations on Akshay Kumar in Thank You and Salman in Ready. In fact, Anees has even taken incidents related to Akshay and Salman and made them part of No Entry Mein Entry. Cautious about giving away the real-life inspirations for No Entry Mein Entry, Anees says, "I'm a writer first then a director. Observing people from close quarters the quirks and characteristics of people I've been working with lately are bound to show up in No Entry Mein Entry." The delay in the No Entry sequel, it can now be told, was due to Bazmee's attempts to carry the characters and situations from No Entry forward into No Entry Mein Entry. The effort proved non-productive and abortive as Anees was stuck with trying to create a comic ambience for the three heroes of No Entry within an already-given situation. Having scrapped the original idea of carrying the same story and characters forward, No Entry Mein Entry will now have completely fresh characters. Informs Anees, "We're only using the title No Entry and the three heroes. Everything else is different. No point in carrying the same story forward." Any wonder that Boney Kapoor's other pet project Mr. India 2 is not going anywhere? The characters are too plot-specific to be placed in another situation.

The cast is undecided simply because Abhinav is yet to complete the script." It is learnt that Abhinav has entered into a multi-film deal with Viacom18. "That's untrue. It's a one-film deal," Vikram clarifies. Viacom18 and Abhinav are expected to make an official announcement today [Thursday].

Madhur Bhandarkar sets the record straight

Madhur BhandarkarMadhur Bhandarkar's HEROINE continues to make news. After Kareena Kapoor opted out of the project, there's talk that Madhur has decided to cast either Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Katrina Kaif in the coveted role. Rumor has it that Madhur is expected to narrate the gist of the subject to Ash, before he meets Katrina. But Madhur denies the development completely. Says the talented director, "Frankly, I've yet to decide what to make next. Therefore, the question of casting Ash or Katrina for HEROINE just doesn't arise. In fact, I haven't even approached Ash or Katrina for the project in question." He adds, "I am still vacillating what to make next. It could be a love story, it could be a comedy, it could be a realistic film… nothing is finalized. In fact, HEROINE may or may not happen immediately, since I've yet to take a call on it."

UTV and Madhur clarify Ash v/s Kat choice for Heroine

Madhur BhandarkarIs there a battle intensifying between Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif for the central protagonist's part in Heroine? Is it just hearsay? Or is there really some fire behind all the smoke? Recently a tabloid reported that the game was not yet over for Madhur Bhandarkar's supposedly shelved Heroine ever since things didn't quite work out between the filmmaker and Kareena Kapoor. While Madhur was said to have moved on to newer films, there were many in the industry who were still hopeful that Heroine would turn into a reality after all. "With Madhur as well as UTV (which is said to have shown a keen interest in the film) keeping mum around developments, if any, the ground has been opened for all gossips, speculations and rumours to arise. One such topic of conversation which instantly heated up recently was the entire toss up between Ash and Kat. However, as before, all of it is still in thin air as none of the prime players have gone on record yet", says a source closely attached to the film. This is the reason why Madhur as well as UTV are taking a diplomatic stance while not quite taking any names (as of now at the least). On contacted, Madhur said, "I have not yet decided what I would be making next. It could be a comedy, drama, love story, action, just about anything. When my subject by itself is not yet finalised, how can I be going around closing on the actress who would be playing a part?" UTV too took a similar stance and reiterated the fact as shared by Madhur. Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures, said, "We at UTV are committed to working with Madhur on a film and we are together considering various options." The obvious question here is - 'Does Heroine feature as one of the various options?' "Well, Heroine is a great script and we would love for it to get made but it is really early days with regard to casting and we are yet to approach anyone in that regard", continued Siddharth. The same stance is maintained by Madhur as well. He says, "Of course the subject of Heroine is close to my heart. I may have momentarily shelved it but I would definitely want to make it in future. However it is still early days. I would be pleased to talk more about it till something is concrete. Till then I am enjoying reading books, watching movies and travelling." "In fact I just read somewhere that I am working on the sequel to Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji. Let me state on record that nothing is happening around that as well. It is plain rumour. Currently, I am just going through a good unwinding period; I want to enjoy that to the fullest", smiles Madhur before signing off.

Sonakshi Sinha to star opposite Kamal Haasan

Sonakshi SinhaSonakshi Sinha made a smashing debut with her film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan, post which this damsel has been flooded with offers from various filmmakers in the industry. If that wasn't enough, she even received an offer to star in a South film opposite none other than Kamal Haasan. Though details were a bit sketchy earlier, Bollywood Hungama has since learned that she has apparently signed on the dotted line agreeing to play the South Superstar's wife. What's more, Sonakshi will be sporting two looks in the film - one Indian and the other Western. The film itself is said to be an Indian version of Anthony Hopkins and Julianne Moore's film Hannibal and will see Sonakshi leaving later this month for a 45 day schedule to London.
