Tom Hanks and Ellen DeGeneres bring Woody and Dory to life in Pixar-off

Pixar worlds collided on the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show when Tom Hanks and Ellen DeGeneres reprised their famous roles as the voices of Woody from Toy Story and Dory from Finding Nemo.

The two made the audience close their eyes and talked their way through a very believable meeting between Andy’s toy cowboy and a very forgetful fish.

“Close your eyes and imagine you’re in Pixar land…,” Hanks said before launching into the brief Woody and Dory encounter and adventurous search for a missing hat.

Watch: Record-breaking rescue cat is way better at skateboarding than you

If you’ve been talking about learning how to skateboard but have been putting it off for ages, this cat might serve as some inspiration.

Didga (as in “didgeridoo”) is an Australian rescue cat who’s favourite food is raw kangaroo mince. Now now, she’s breezily entered the Guinness World Records for the most skateboard tricks performed by a cat.

With the help of her owner Robert Dollwet, the feline from Tweed Heads managed to complete 20 tricks within a minute on Wednesday, thus making history. “I knew she was special but now, with the record, I think that she’s just unbelievably special and I’m just so proud of her,” said Dollwet. “I love her, so much.” …

It'll cost you $40 to charge your iPhone 7 while using Lightning headphones

We all knew there would be complications around Apple’s decision to remove the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Aside from the need to use an adapter to get your old 3.5mm headphones connected to your new iPhone, there’s also the issue that once you’re using wired headphones you won’t be able to charge your phone without yet another adapter.
The first option to let you do just that is coming from Belkin with the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar. The dongle is fairly simple affair, like any splitter you might expect — one Lightning plug that goes in your phone … – Source

Change is (probably) coming to Formula One. Rumors had been surfacing recently regarding possible new ownership of the racing series, and those rumors proved correct on Wednesday. US-based Liberty Media Corp. announced it will purchase F1. The deal will cost Liberty Media $1.1 billion in cash along with a large number of shares, and the company will assume $4.1 billion of debt.

The purchase could mean big things for F1 fans in the US and on the Internet, two markets the sport has thus far found unfathomable under the leadership of Bernie Ecclestone. Sadly, however, the 85-year old businessman might be a fixture in F1 circles for a while longer.

Google Play Services v9.6 adds Nearby quick settings tile

There’s a new version of Google Play Services rolling out, but isn’t there always? Sometimes there are notable new features, and other times not. This time, the updated version includes a nifty extra for Nougat users in the form of a new quick settings tile for Nearby.

Nearby is, of course, Google’s platform for connecting devices that are in close proximity with a combination of Bluetooth and ultrasonic signals. The settings for this feature are somewhat buried in the Google menus, but now they’re more easily accessible.
