Leonard Nimoy, Spock From 'Star Trek,' Passes Away

He brought to life one of the greatest characters in television and film history, and for fifty years has been one of the most beloved performers by fans of all ages. Leonard Nimoy, the actor best known for his role as Spock in the popular Star Trek series, passed away this morning at the age of 83. His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed Nimoy’s death from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, from which the actor suffered for years. Nimoy was taken to the hospital days ago after suffering chest pains. He is survived by his wife Susan, his children Adam and Julie Nimoy, his stepson Aaron Schuck, and his brother Melvin Nimoy, as well as six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. - Source
