SHOCKING Makdee girl Shweta Prasad caught in prostitution racket case
Sep 03, 1:02PM
Bollywood has always been known for its glamour element as well as its dark side. While the glam factor is there for everyone to see, the dark side of film industry is something which many are aware but only a few dare to talk about it. One such incident recently shook the daylights out of everyone was when actress Shweta Basu Prasad was arrested in a prostitution racket case in Park Hyatt hotel in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on Sunday night.
Readers may recall Shweta Basu Prasad as the child artist who shot to overnight fame with her stellar performances in films like Makdee and Iqbal amongst others. Shweta, who now works as an actress in Tollywood films, was arrested by the Task force police in Hyderabad when they busted a prostitution racket on August 31. Reports have it that Shweta was caught in the act during the raid. What is more shocking is that this is not the first time that Shweta Prasad was caught in the prostitution act, as she was caught earlier as well during a sting operation conducted by a TV channel, in which she demanded money from politicians and businessmen in exchange for sexual favours. The Court has now ordered the Panjagutta police to send Shweta into a Government Rehabilitation Centre and Balu to Cherlapally jail.
