The top female esports earner makes $2.5 million less than higest-paid male


Guinness World Records has named Canadian StarCraft II player Sasha “Scarlett” Hostyn the highest earning female esports player with $144,414 in all-time winnings — a number that’s shockingly lower than the highest-earning male.

That would be American Dota 2 player Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora, who set a new record this year with $2,631,245 in prize money over the course of his career. Saahil has even competed in fewer tournaments than Hostyn — 55 compared to her 91.
