Okay, campers, rise and shine and feel free to leave your booties at home because it’s not going to be cold for much longer.

Apple's latest patent is about an iPhone that lets you push virtual buttons in thin air

Amidst all the criticism Apple receives at the slightest hint of disturbance in its fortunes, lack of innovation and little R&D spending are prevalent topics. Yet, one of the most fascinating aspects of the iPhone maker is all the experimentation and invention going on behind its notoriously secretive curtains. Amidst self-driving cars and VR experiences, Apple is brewing novel technologies meant to empower its iOS-powered gadgets – but only when the kinks have been thoroughly worked out and their inclusion makes business and practical sense.

Jaguar Land Rover joins $7.9 million program to test self-driving cars

Jaguar Land Rover announced Monday morning that it is putting five highly automated vehicles on U.K. roads this year to test both connectivity and self-driving tech.

Imagine, for example, if your car knew about a patch of black ice before it crossed it and warned you so you could avoid.

This project is part of a much bigger vision than just black ice warnings, however.

The JLR vehicles are joining the £5.5-million ($7.9 million) U.K. Connected Intelligent Transport Environment (UK-CITE) project that includes 100 vehicles and a 41-mile test corridor between Coventry and Solihull, England. The project will utilize newly installed vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) systems on public roads that will send information about traffic jams and road conditions before they can be seen. …

World's most valuable company is no longer Apple

Alphabet just released its Q4 2015 earnings today which shot the stock prices of both Stock A and Stock C up to about $750-$780. Alphabet is now the most valuable company in the world, surpassing Apple’s position in the ranks.

With Apple’s earning beginning to show plateauing over earnings from the year before, Google stole the show, showing great numbers of growth. Investors are going crazy buying more stock which drove the price up this afternoon.

Alphabet’s Year-over-Year revenues are increasing, which means its growth is actually growing exponentially. Revenues went up 24% from the 12% the year before.

The majority of Google’s revenue is from ads, and while the number of ad clicks have gone up 31%, the cost per click has gone down 13 percent. Don’t be fooled. This means the company still made more money on ads!

During the sales call, the company also announced that it has more than 1 billion active monthly Gmail users. Google now joins Facebook and What’s App who also have more than 1 billion active monthly users worldwide.

Apparently, an increasing number of people have have visited the courtroom in too-casual attire lately, and he’s sick of it.

“We have a growing problem of people not dressing appropriately for court. And I just put it out there as a reminder of the code of conduct that should be followed when appearing in court. It’s not a law,” Long said, according to …
