Himesh's music of Damadamm with T-Series for perpetuity
That T-Series and Himesh Reshammiya have had a long, close and successful association has been known for quite some time. The two have now decided to come together again with HR Muzik Limited's new production Damadamm!, the music rights of which are with T-Series for perpetuity. After the expenses and the publicity costs, the profits will be shared equally between both. Incidentally, the music rights of the film Bodyguard, the music of which is by Himesh is the music director, are also with T-Series. The long and fruitful association between T-Series and Himesh goes a long way back, to the latter's first film, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. Since then, the two went on to create a formidable team, in the process churning out some of the topmost selling albums of the millennium, including Tere Naam, Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Aap Ka Suroor among others. Damadamm! stars Himesh Reshammiya who is also the music director of the film. It is directed by Swapna Joshi. This T-Series-HR Muzik tie-up will also continue for all future HR Muzik products.Delhi Belly song 'DK Bose' lands censor board in trouble
Delhi Belly's song 'DK Bose' which has been picturised on Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor and has got an overwhelming response from some of the music lovers has now put the Censor Board in trouble. Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya has smartly played with words to get away with a commonly used Hindi cuss word in the song. Though the song is accepted by a certain section of the audiences, it seems like some people are really angry with the Censor Board for allowing the song to be screened in theatres along with 'U' certified films and to be played on TV. They feel it's a bad influence on the youth. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has now sent a formal mail to the Censor Board questioning their actions on giving a go ahead to Delhi Belly song 'DK Bose', after receiving several mails and letters from angry masses demanding an explanation for having passed a song with a word that sounds obscene when played in loop. The song has been sung and composed by Ram Sampat.Shahrukh Khan to undergo knee surgery
In the recent past, it was his shoulder injury that kept SRK temporarily out of work, which lead to the delay of some of his films. And now, we hear that the actor who had injured his knee over a year back, has to undergo a knee surgery in July. The injury has been aggravated due to the rigorous shoots and action sequences done in his upcoming film Ra.One. The Mumbai based Dr. Ali Irani, recently paid the actor a visit in Hyderabad to check his knee. Apparently, SRK, who has been going through a lot of discomfort for sometime, has a tear in the meniscus of his left knee. Dr. Irani said that SRK will have to undergone surgery in July.Jacqueline opts out of role opposite Arjun Rampal in Jai Ramji
The smouldering red-hot promos of Jacqueline Fernandez heating up the seaside splendour of Goa in Murder 2 raises fond memories of Mallika Sherawat's sizzling re-launch in Murder five years ago.And the sizzle-quotient has not escaped the Bhatts' notice. Having earlier successfully re-launched Bipasha Basu and Mallika Sherawat in all their oomphy-glory in Jism and Murder, respectively, it's time for the Bhatts to give Jacqueline's career that box office boost that would hopefully make her the new pinup sensation. And the Sri Lankan beauty who had earlier done two films (Aladin, Jaane Kahan Se Aaye Hai) that almost branded her a fairytale actress, is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Murder 2 does her what Murder did for Mallika. Jacqueline has recently said no to a film opposite Arjun Rampal begging off with the age-old excuses of no dates. But Tigmanshu Dhulia's Jai Ramji was not even into the date-zone as when Jacqueline begged off. Says Dhulia, "There was no talk of dates. I met Jacqueline and she loved the role of Arjun Rampal's classy girlfriend who is suddenly thrown into Lucknow's hotbed of crime and politics. It's a role similar to Pooja Batra's in Viaasat. I don't know what happened. I already have another option in place, so no problems." A bit of probing reveals that Jacqueline has now decided to do films only with the biggest banners. Says a source, "After Murder 2, she is going into Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 2 where her co-star is John. Jacqueline is looking at a new beginning for herself at this stage. A film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia doesn't fit into her scheme of things right now." The Bhatts have completely taken Jacqueline under their wings and are guiding her through her career moves. Arjun Rampal who was to be Jacqueline's co-star in Jai Ramji had backed out of Housefull 2 making way for John Abraham. That's when Jacqueline stepped into Housefull 2 and out of Jai Ramji.
