Qantas has announced a redesign, but it’s more of a freshening up than a complete overhaul.
It’s only the fifth time the Australian airline has updated its iconic kangaroo logo since it first appeared on the tail of its planes in 1944. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

The new logo has been “simplified,” according to the airline. There are no arms on the kangaroo anymore, and the head has a less pronounced snout and ears. Shading on the end of the logo is to add a “sense of depth and movement,” according to a statement on the Qantas website. …
