Just yesterday, we passed along a report suggesting that Apple was working on micro-LED screens in a secret lab located in Taiwan. These displays do not require backlighting, and as a result iPhones made with micro-LED screens will be thinner and lighter. They also offer higher resolution for users. A new report published today has a more exciting story to offer. According to this version of events, Apple is secretly working on a holographic display for the iPhone that will not require the use of special glasses to view.
