Manufacturer says that the Bluboo Xtouch is the first smartphone to use 3D printing

The other day, we told you how the Bluboo Xtouch had the 2.5D glass on the front of the device, enhanced by adding .5mm of thickness to the Gorilla Glass 3 screen. This apparently stopped the problem the company was having with the 2.5D glass cracking way too easily. Now that this problem has been solved, Bluboo sent us an email to let us know that the Xtouch is the first smartphone to employ 3D printing technology.


Bluboo uses the 3D printer to produce the back shell of the Xtouch. The company says that after the 3D printing, it “adds nano composite film craft on the shell to form diamond … – Source
