Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' is being turned into a TV series

LONDON — Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy is being adapted for television, the BBC announced Tuesday


The series, produced by Bad Wolf and New Line Cinema, will be filmed in Wales and broadcast on BBC One, according to a statement from the broadcaster

For those of you who aren’t fans of the books, The Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass follow Lyra, a young girl living in a parallel universe, whose story begins with her search for a missing friend.
