The water resources department (WRD) on Sunday issued an express notice to all its officials and engineers posted in the Gandak basin of the state to remain on high alert as a massive landslide in the upper reaches of the river in Nepal has caused its blockage, resulting in the formation of a big artificial lake which could burst under the pressure of accumulated water. - Source
