What's Thom Yorke mumbling about at the end of 'Daydreaming'?


Radiohead’s new song “Daydreaming” — which dropped Friday with an eerie, Paul Thomas Anderson-directed video — is a very, very slow build.


Beginning with a minimal piano riff, Thom Yorke’s voice doesn’t come in until around 1:20. Tortured vocals appear the 2-minute mark, and half a minute later is when the tempo finally starts the quicken. Ominous strings show up 5 minutes in.

It all builds up to something, but we aren’t sure what it is — what it sounds like is 30 seconds of Thom Yorke mumbling and growling indecipherably. …
