Common Acid Reflux Drugs Associated With Increased Risk for Heart Attacks

Based on results of a new study from researchers at Houston Methodist and Stanford University, adults who take proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for heartburn and other gastrointestinal ailments are between 16 and 21 percent more likely to experience a heart attack than those who do not use the widely available acid blocker. – Source
