Saving critical time diagnosing stroke patients with MRI by borrowing 'lean' principles

Few hospitals around the world routinely use MRI first-line for acute stroke diagnosis because of treatment delay concerns. This is the first study to report that, by applying ‘lean’ process interventions, it is feasible to use MRI before administering a life-saving drug to stroke patients within 60 minutes of hospital arrival. - Source
