Tata Teleservices surprised many by aggressively going after LTE spectrum in the 800 MHz band, thwarting Reliance Jio Infocomm’s efforts to acquire contiguous spectrum in the band in key markets like Delhi, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh where the Tata group company won small slivers of the bandwidth, say analysts.
