Chinese RMB Consolidates Second Most Used Currency Ranking For DC Trade Transactions

After the Chinese Renminbi (RMB), the official currency of the People’s Republic of China, broke into fifth spot this January amongst top payments currency globally according to the SWIFT RMB Tracker with a market share of 2.06% (behind the Japanese Yen), new figures out late this February from Brussels-headquartered Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) revealed RMB activity share for documentary credit (DC) transactions rose to 9.43% in January 2015 – consolidating its number two ranking. - Source
