It is no secret that since the Note7 met its untimely demise, Samsung has been betting a lot on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge to fill the market void. Research seems to show that this is a quite successful strategy overall, since most ex Note7 users seem to be opting for an S7 edge replacement.

Verizon rolls out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for BlackBerry Priv


BlackBerry Priv owners who purchased their phones through major carrier Verizon will be happy to know that the Big Red has finally kicked off the rollout of Android Marshmallow update.


We reported last week that some Priv owners have already started to receive the update, but since Verizon did not confirm it we weren’t sure if it will be available for everyone.

JBL SoundBoost ($79.99) is a modular speaker that enhances the sounds coming out of the phone’s speaker. Following an earlier story that revealed some of the features of the Samsung Galaxy S8, Reuters today reconfirms the fact that the smartphone will come with a brand new AI (artificial intelligence) digital assistant.


As previously assumed, the new AI digital assistant service will be based on Viv, an assistant that Samsung purchased last month (interestingly, the co-founders of Viv Labs were also the original creators of Apple’s Siri).
